CHOOSING APPLIANCES

Plugged in to save the environment

We are surrounded by electrical appliances, we have them everywhere in the house, in the car, at the office, in our bag and we use them for almost any activity, because they make our life easier, more comfortable. However, a large number of devices also means a high consumption of energy and resources.

”Modern technology owes ecology an apology!”

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIROMENT WITHOUT GIVING UP THE COMFORT?

  • Choose appliances from the upper energy class!

  • Buy a washing machine, dishwasher or dryer that has several operating cycles and uses short programs!

  • If you have a choice, opt for electric cookers instead of gas-fired ones. They are less polluting, and if you benefit from a renewable energy source (e.g. solar panel), the effects on the environment are reduced to a minimum.

  • Choose an induction hob! It is the most efficient kitchen gadget that cooks food with electromagnetic induction (food is heated only when a special container is placed on the counter), which saves natural gas and electricity.

  • Use the programmable timers of the devices and set the automatic shutdowns. In this way, the appliances will no longer operate without interruption and energy consumption will be lower.

  • Buy equipment that uses innovative technologies! They are more energy efficient and have a lower impact on the environment (they have sensors that regulate their time and mode of operation, are made of recycled materials or can be easily recycled, etc.).

  • Recycle old or defective electronics!
